Crisped and browned on the surface, but tender and moist inside. That’s how my grilled Salmon was. I usually cooked this way when I wanted to have pasta or noodles in sauce, or rice with other saucy dishes.
I wouldn’t serve as it is as a main course, if I did not make a sauce to go along, even though it wasn’t dried at all. I just thought it would be a bit plain.. unless to make some wet sides eg baked beans, gravies baby corns, mashed potato with sauce, etc. Salsa or cheesy spinach might be good, too. Those would do.. Alright, I should do the Western main course style the next time. :)
Oh yes, this super easy and delicious fish dish is meant for the busy parents, working couples and moody simplistic personnel. Yes… It took merely 20 minutes, from preparation to cooked. You didn’t even need to marinate it. Quick yet healthy. If you liked, serve it with steamed rice, too! I did, at times. :D
Ingredients
1 large Salmon fillet (with thickness about 1″)
1 tablespoon of mixed herbs
1 teaspoon of all purpose seasoning powder (Masterfoods brand)
Pinch of salt and coarsely ground black pepper
Handful of cherry tomatoes
Instructions
Cut few slits on the thick meat of the Salmon fillet.
Rub seasoning on both sides of the fillet.
Sprinkle mixed herbs on the meat-side.
Place fillet skin-side down (grease pan to avoid sticking) on the air fryer grill pan.
Place cherry tomatoes at the sides of the fillet.
Air fry for 15 minutes on 180deg Celsius.
Plate and serve.
Notes
A serving of my Salmon counts less than 100kcal. And, yes, it’s pretty low in fat as no extra fat was used in this recipe. It was just plain herbs and spices, with the good fat of itself. :)
*For less burnt trace on tomatoes, put into air fryer only for the last 5 minutes.
Tips: Different brand has different version of all-purpose seasoning. I was looking at ground spices powder type by Masteredfoods brand. It’s not a promotion, just to make sure you are aware of the difference. Get all the spices and herbs from NTUC Finest or Cold Storage.
